Memoirs and Musings an Anthology of Poetry

Triggered by the colossal human suffering of the Covid-19 pandemic, including his own experience of a "rescue" flight to his homeland and subsequent containment indoors, this retired engineer and former lecturer has found not only solace, but also a new career as a poet. In this collection, titled Anthology—his third publication—his love of writing takes a different turn, moving from the rigid constraints of academia into the more meandering path of poetry. This anthology of poetry combines his life experiences with the vivid creations of his imagination. Covering everything from people close to his heart to national heroes, as well as broader global topics like feminism, the writer has touched on a wide array of themes, all flavored by his favorite essence: human emotion. All the poems contained herein were previously published in local newspapers. He may well rejoice in the achievement of his newfound hobby—turned passion—at this unforeseen age. However, readers of this book may disagree with that timeline, as they may well regret that he did not discover his passion sooner.
